Eleanor A. (Hoey) Sheldon,92, of Canton, formerly a longtime resident of Norwood, March 27, 2015. Born in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (McManus)Hoey. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Edward C. Sheldon; the loving sister of John Hoey of Randolph, Frederick Hoey of Canton and the late Francis, Edward, and James Hoey, Maureen Dunn, Rosanne Hoey, Mary Driscoll, and Agnes Gallagher; and the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Eleanor A. (Hoey) Sheldon,92, of Canton, formerly a longtime resident of Norwood, March 27, 2015. Born in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (McManus)Hoey. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Edward C. Sheldon; the loving sister of John Hoey of Randolph, Frederick Hoey of Canton and the late Francis, Edward, and James Hoey, Maureen Dunn, Rosanne Hoey, Mary Driscoll, and Agnes Gallagher; and the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Margaret Street neighbors and many friends. Eleanor worked at the First National Store in Dedham for 26 years until her retirement. Many happy memories were made at Eleanor and Eddie's home, which her nephews and nieces will remember fondly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 1, at 11:00 AM at St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 1, prior to the Mass, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD.
